Col. Brown School carries away the WIPRO EARTHIAN REGIONAL AWARD IN UTTRAKHAND 2023.
Wipro organised a competition based upon waste management.
The CBS team has been shortlisted for the Wipro Regional awards. The team shall receive a cash prize of Rs.10, 000/- and will be facilitated in a formal award ceremony in Mid-April.
Col.Brown School has a very rich landscape with more than 500 trees and an expanse that attracts birds, butterflies/various other flora and fauna and beautiful patches of greens is driven by the vision to sensitize young minds on the importance of biodiversity conservation and waste management.
Inspitred and driven by the Wipro Earthian Programme the children of CBS got more connected to Environment. Showing vigour, incredible work was done by Hardik Chaudhary, Mrigank Kohli, Veeral, Ratul Verma, and Nikhar Maheshwari under the guidance of very experienced teachers Mrs. Anju Rawat and Ms.Prachi Verma.
Leaves collected in the campus was converted into compost which is used for growing flowers. Discarded newspapers, old copies, books and clothes are recycled for making papers which is used in the school.
Environmental Justice for one and all has been the core mission of the CBS.
