Nestled in Dalanwala locality of Dehradun Col. Brown School offers a green campus which is a bird watchers paradise. In the early spring a diverse variety of birds visit the school. The school organised a bird watching session for the boys on 18th February 2023.Well known ornithologist Dr.Raman Kumar and his team members Mrs. Soumya Prasad ,Ms. Riddhima, Ms. Swara enlightened the boys about the behavior and habitat of the birds. Boys participated in bird count and spotting. They learnt to be keenly observant and to handle the binoculars. The boys were taught to be alert and to use their ears and eyes simultaneously to spot the birds.
More than 40 species were spotted by the boys between 07:40 and 09:00 am.
