Butterfly walk

On 2nd October 23 the School organized a programme of Biodiversity. Mr.Sanjai Sondhi graced the occasion. An IIT and IIM graduate who headed a Multi-National Company gave up his profession and decided to follow his heart and opened an NGO Called TITLI.

He gave the children a talk on butterflies and moths and followed it with visuals. The children were then taken to various gardens to recognize the various kinds of butterflies. The children recognized on the Campus 14 species. Mr.Sondhi pointed out the “Indian cabbage” laying eggs which was a great sighting for the children. He also showed them the courting of the butterflies. Children pinpointed many moths. After the butterfly walk a little quiz was organized for the children to test how much they have absorbed. It was good to see the children respond with great enthusiasm.

The main purpose of such programmes is to make children aware of “Nature” and it’s “Beauty”.
