Birthdays: Weekly Update

Harshit Adhana, Preet Choudhary, Kamaljeet Singh, Mohd. Hamaad, Bhuwan Maheshwari and Amrit Raj celebrated birthdays from May 14- 20, 2019 and planted saplings in the school campus as an endeavour to nurture the environment.

A Noble Cause

Margaret Thatcher very rightly said,’ We have not inherited this planet from our forefathers, we have borrowed it from our future generations’.

Living up to this notion, the Headmaster announced that sapling plantation in the school campus will be initiated by every student on one’s birthday as a measure to realize their accountability and offer tribute to Mother Earth.

Inter- House Hockey and Basketball Tournaments

The first and the second weeks of May, 2019 were dedicated to the Inter-House Hockey and Basketball Tournaments.. Powerful hits, sky-high scoops, flicks, penalty corners and the remarkable spirit with which the boys cheered for the players were visible. Some matches ended in a nail-biting finish with the result being decided in the final minute. The overall results are:

World Migratory Bird Day

An orientation programme on World Migratory Bird Day was conducted on May 11, 2019. Students from classes 8-12 attended and were enlightened by means of visual presentation. The basic things portrayed were:

  • Awareness to conserve migratory birds.
  • Global measures adopted to conserve them.
  • Causes of migration.
  • Human claims on natural resources.

Summer Fest ‘Fiebre De Verano’

‘Future is yours so shape it to achieve the best for yourself’

On April 3 and 4, 2019, all the students of CBS celebrated the Annual Summer Fest ‘Fiebre De Verano’ with enthusiasm and zeal. The entire school participated wholeheartedly towards the success of this grand event. The triumph was made possible by the relentless efforts of Class XII students under whose stewardship other students performed with dedication and devotion. The choice of theme ‘The Batman’ was much appreciated. Multifarious activities were incorporated and were spread over two days:

Day 1 events were Photography, Handball, Scavenger Hunt, Art, Junior Cricket, Table Tennis, FutsaL and DJ Night.

Day 2 Treasure Hunt, Cycling, Student of the Year, Seven Tiles, Indoor Games, Kabbadi, Leg Cricket, Futsal Final and the Variety Entertainment Programme.
